|Lumped or other facilities‘Lumped or other facilities’ shows data from states that have not broken down their data by facility type, so it might include data from nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. It also includes some congregate living facilities for older adults that are neither nursing homes nor assisted-living facilities. Idaho reports long-term care COVID-19 data for Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and Intermediate Care Facilities. COVID Tracking Project puts this data into the Lumped or other facilities category.Idaho reports cumulative and outbreak deaths. Idaho does provide facility-level data. Idaho reports staff and resident cases and staff and resident deaths as combined. Idaho provides cumulative totals for resident and staff cases and resident and staff deaths and number of facilities with a case. Idaho provides outbreak data for resident and staff cases and resident and staff deaths and number of facilities with a case. Idaho defines an outbreak as a facility with one or more cases. An outbreak ends when 28 days (or 2 incubation periods) have passed with no new confirmed cases. Idaho does not provide data for when the cumulative totals were first recorded. Idaho reports lab-confirmed and probable COVID cases combined. Idaho defines probable cases as: 1) the person tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection using an antigen test, 2) they have a clinically compatible illness and epidemiologic risk for infection, or 3) their death certificate lists COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 as an underlying cause of death or significant condition contributing to death, without confirmation using a molecular amplification test. CTP collected data for Idaho via Press Conferences from May 15, 2020 until June 8, 2020. These Press Conferences provided information on Nursing Homes only.
- June 5, 2020: Idaho began releasing weekly reports about long-term care information. CTP began using this data set to report Long-Term Care Facilities. Source data for resident and staff cases and deaths can be found in the Weekly Summaries on Idaho’s state COVID-19 page.
The state provides facility-level cumulative data. The state does not provide facility-level outbreak data. Cumulative facility-level data was first reported by the state on 2020-06-11.
Because each state reports facility-level data differently, CTP has produced a number of scripts to make the dataset as standardized and comprehensive as possible. This state uses the following scripts: post_processing, standardize_data. More information on each of these scripts can be found in our Airtable Facility Script Annotations.
