Wisconsin reports long-term care data for Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term-Care Facilities. Wisconsin reports skilled Nursing Homes facilities separately from other long-term care facilities. Long-term-care facilities includes skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Assisted living facility information was collected by calculating the difference between Wisconsin's reported long-term-care information and the skilled nursing home information. Wisconsin reports cumulative and outbreak cases and deaths for residents for long-term care facilities. Wisconsin releases facility names of outbreak nursing homes and defines an outbreak (called an “investigation”) in these facilities as a single confirmed case occuring in a facility. The outbreak is closed 28 days after the last positive case was confirmed. Wisconsin releases facility names of outbreak nursing homes.
